The Foundry Art Centre presents an exhibition of whimsical artwork, Rat Race, now through February 23, 2014 at Lambert-St. Louis International Airport. The exhibit is located in the Meeting Place Gallery located in Terminal 1 Bag Claim Level adjacent to the Concourse C exit.
In today’s fast paced world of hustle and bustle, it’s easy to get caught up in the serious and mundane tasks of life. Living in a modern society, we often focus on the task at hand, leaving little time in our day for the lighter side of things. This whimsical exhibition invites visitors passing through the Airport to pause for a moment and forget about the “rat race.” Artwork by fifteen artists will provide visitors with a reminder of the lighter side of life. The exhibition was curated by Angela Fowle, Executive Director of the Foundry Art Centre. Rat Race is sponsored by the Regional Arts Commission and the Greater Saint Charles Convention & Visitors Bureau. The Meeting Place Gallery is part of Lambert’s Art and Culture Program which features temporary exhibitions from the St. Louis region and the State of Missouri.
